Frequently Asked Questions:

Biodiesel As An Alternative Fuel

Bio-diesel is in the news. It’s popular with the newspapers and the television pundits – from BBC TV’s Top Gear to the “green” programme Countryfile.
Bio-diesel has been investigated, approved and adopted by Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Cheshire County Council and at least one major British police force.
Bio-diesel is renewable, kinder to the environment and supported by Her Majesty’s Government. Five per cent of all the diesel fuel sold in roadside pumps in France is now bio-diesel.

We can supply bio-diesel to you at a price significantly lower than you currently pay for mineral-diesel fuel. So what is the catch?

Well… there isn’t one.
The following are the questions that we are asked most often.

Q.Will I get the same fuel consumption?

A.YES. Due to EFS Bio Fuels patented additive the performance is almost identical to that of mineral-diesel

Q.Does my vehicle need modification to run on bio-diesel?

A.Absolutely not! No engine modifications are needed to use bio-diesel in a diesel engine. bio-diesel can be poured straight into the fuel tank of any diesel vehicle!

Q.Are you able to mix it?

A.Bio-diesel and mineral-diesel are fully interchangeable and can be mixed at any percentage! They can be stored in the same tank with no separation fluids!

Q.Are there any detrimental affects to the running of the vehicle?

A.NO! But many positive affects!

Q.Would I need to maintain or service my vehicle more than normal?

A.NO! Bio-diesel will leave your engine oil much cleaner than mineral-diesel because of its much lower carbon content!

Q.How long has bio-diesel been around?

A.Since the advent of the diesel engine! Dr Rudolf Diesel invented his engine in 1895. It was designed to run on PEANUT OIL! In 1905 the French submarine fleet had diesel engines fitted which were designed to run on his improved fuel, BIO-DIESEL!.

Q.Does the environment benefit from the use of bio-diesel?

A.YES! Bio-diesel is a renewable fuel that also reduces net carbon-dioxide emissions by 78% compared to mineral-diesel! This is due to the closed carbon cycle, which is released into the environment. Growing plants, which are later processed into fuel, recycles the carbon-dioxide released into the atmosphere when bio-diesel is burned. Therefore there is no net gain or loss for the planet.

Q.Do I need special storage conditions?

A.NO! The standard storage and handling procedures used for mineral-diesel can be used for bio-diesel. EFS bio-diesel is supplied in 1000 litre intermediate bulk containers. The more we learn about bio-diesel, the more it becomes the fuel of choice for road transport. EFS Bio Fuels offer you a chance of reaping the benefits of bio-diesel in 2007. Most transport professionals have found that the only problem with the switch to bio-diesel is the problem of finding a reliable supplier. Thanks to our own increased production we can now offer a reliable supply to a small number of companies. Based upon our previous marketing campaign our increase in supply capacity was taken up within 3 weeks, so to avoid disappointment please contact us on a strictly first come first served basis.
